Wish List

We are always in need of:
• Paper towels
• Facial tissues
• Baby rice cereal
• Canned evaporated milk
• Canned or dry dog food
• Bleach
• Laundry detergent
• Shade cloth, tarps (need not be new)

• Nuts (acorns, walnuts, pecans, etc.)

• antlers (for squirrels to chew on)

We frequently are in need of:
• Cages, aquariums, critter keepers, carriers
• Heating pads, heat mats
• Food and water dishes, all kinds
• Fencing, posts, dog pens, dog houses
Note: These items need not be new, but should be in usable condition.

Schedule a program:
If your organization is unable to pay for programs, please contact us anyway. We are very interested in educating the public about our native wildlife and perhaps we can come to some other arrangement such as having your group collect goods to donate instead of money.

We have a couple of fundraisers that we are trying to get off the ground.   Since most all of our time is spent actually caring for animals, we have little time left for fundraising.  We are trying to set up two passive fundraisers but need some help. 

The first would be to make donation jars which could then be set out in local businesses.  We need help creating the jars and we need ideas on where they could be set out.  If you know people in the community that would allow us to set out jars, we would love to know.

We also have literature that tells about getting money for recycling cell phones and ink cartridges from printers.  We need someone who can go over the information to see exactly what is involved and then coordinate the effort.  This would involve creating some donation boxes (with the appropriate information on them) and then getting them set out in local businesses.  It may be that the same businesses that allow us to set out donation jars will also allow these recycling boxes.

There is obviously a lot more that could be done in the area of fundraising.  So all ideas are welcome.  If you love helping wildlife but are unable to be in actual contact with wildlife (for whatever reason), this could be a perfect way for you to help without worrying about midnight feedings, allergies, or crazy work schedules!  We have never had to turn away an animal in need because we couldn't 'afford' it.  I never want this to happen.  Please consider helping us in this area.

Volunteer

• We currently need cage builders and building supplies to construct raptor pens. 

• We are also in need of people to transport animals especially in the Laurens and Greenwood areas.
• We need people to work on fundraising as explained in the section above.
