NEED SERVICE HOURS for school or community group?  (Scouts welcome!!)
Contact us (paws.sc@gmail.com with SERVICE HOURS in subject line) to discuss our various needs

REMOTE Volunteering
(Send email to paws.sc@gmail.com with REMOTE VOLUNTEER in subject to get started.)

* We need graphic artists to help us with t-shirt designs, art work to sell, and a line of educational cartoons we want to get started.
*Crafts to sell via our auction page.  Link listed above
*Website design and upkeep.  If you are skilled with websites, we need you!
*Online fundraising – it takes a lot to keep us going financially.  If this is your skill, we need you.
*If you have some other skill that can be done remotely, we are all ears.  We have a few people in other states that help us regularly.  We would love to expand our remote volunteer team!

LOCAL volunteering
We are looking for reliable on-site assistance in the following ways:

*On-site facility care (cleaning, washing cages, laundry, food prep, etc.)
*On-site maintenance work (light plumbing/electrical, light construction projects, maintenance tasks, etc.)
*Local transportation of wildlife needing care, most within an hour of Laurens, but possibly some longer distances from time to time.
*Building cages and squirrel boxes, etc. from your home with later transport to PAWS or one of our rehabbers.
*Wildlife rehabilitation in your home for squirrels or opossums.  We train and mentor.  We match a litter with a home based volunteer rehabbers to give each set of babies personal care.
*WE NEED FISH!!  Our Ospreys and Herons need an endless supply of fish.  They will eat pond and lake fish but are not often cooperative with store bought fish.  We can use most any size, from bait size fish up to 3 pounds or so in size.  We can use fresh or frozen, and it can even be the old fish you are cleaning out of the bottom of your freezer.  (We freeze most fish that come to us anyway and just thaw it as we need it.)  If you like to fish, then you can help with this critical need.

If you have interest in helping in any of these ways or have other skills that you’d like to offer, please send an email to paws.sc@gmail.com with VOLUNTEER in the subject line to ask questions, get an application sent to you, etc.
